The PowerHouse LS 6.0L/6.2L DOD/AFM Delete Kit is designed to eliminate the Displacement on Demand (DOD) or Active Fuel Management (AFM) system in your LS engine, providing improved performance and reliability. The DOD system in LS engines aims to improve fuel efficiency by deactivating half of the engine’s cylinders during light load conditions. However, it introduces complexity and potential reliability issues, such as increased oil consumption, uneven engine wear, and higher maintenance costs. The system can also negatively impact performance, particularly in high-performance applications, and limits the types of modifications that can be made. Notes
Use of a factory DOD/AFM camshaft with this kit will result in engine misfires. Also, computer tuning IS required to complete this modification. You must have DOD/AFM disabled in the PCM to prevent the Engine Control Module from setting DTC Codes.
