Our Process

Every engine moves through a controlled process built around inspection, accurate machining, precise measurement and careful final assembly.

Every core is evaluated individually. Components are cleaned, checked for damage and documented so the correct machining and replacement requirements can be established.

Complete Teardown

Complete Teardown

The engine is completely stripped so every reusable and replaceable component can be assessed.

Cleaning

Cleaning

Parts are thoroughly cleaned to expose wear, damage and surface condition.

Initial Inspection

Initial Inspection

The block, heads, crankshaft and related components are checked before machining.

Component Review

Component Review

Critical components are reviewed against specifications and build requirements.

Build Planning

Build Planning

Inspection results determine the machining, parts and processes required for the build.

Machining is completed around the needs of the individual core. Cylinder geometry, deck surfaces, main alignment and component fit are corrected to provide a reliable foundation for assembly.

Block Machining

Block Machining

The block is machined according to its measured condition and final build specifications.

Cylinder Honing

Cylinder Honing

Cylinder finish and geometry are established for proper ring seal and piston clearance.

Deck Resurfacing

Deck Resurfacing

Deck surfaces are restored for consistent gasket sealing and correct surface finish.

Main Alignment

Main Alignment

Main bore condition and alignment are checked and corrected where required.

Head Machining

Head Machining

Cylinder heads are machined and prepared in-house for final valvetrain assembly.

Measurements are recorded throughout the build. Clearances, dimensions and component relationships are confirmed rather than assumed, helping ensure the finished assembly matches its intended specification.

Bore Measurement

Bore Measurement

Cylinder size, taper and geometry are verified after the final honing process.

Crankshaft Inspection

Crankshaft Inspection

Journal condition and dimensions are checked before the crankshaft enters assembly.

Bearing Clearances

Bearing Clearances

Oil clearances are measured to confirm correct bearing fit throughout the rotating assembly.

Piston Fit

Piston Fit

Piston-to-wall clearance is verified for the selected piston and intended application.

Final Verification

Final Verification

Critical dimensions are checked again before components are approved for assembly.

Assembly brings the machining, measurement and component preparation together. Fasteners, clearances, timing components and sealing surfaces are handled according to the requirements of the specific engine platform.

Rotating Assembly

Rotating Assembly

The crankshaft, bearings and connecting rods are installed using the verified build measurements.

Piston Installation

Piston Installation

Pistons and rings are prepared and installed with the required orientation and clearances.

Camshaft & Timing

Camshaft & Timing

Camshaft and timing components are installed and checked before the engine is closed up.

Cylinder Heads

Cylinder Heads

Prepared cylinder heads are installed with the correct sealing components and torque procedure.

Final Assembly

Final Assembly

Remaining covers, sealing surfaces and engine-specific components are completed in sequence.

Before shipment, the finished build is reviewed for completeness and presentation. Openings are protected, required documentation is prepared and the engine is secured for transportation.

Rotation Check

Rotation Check

The assembly is rotated and checked for smooth, consistent movement.

Visual Inspection

Visual Inspection

External surfaces, plugs, covers and sealing points receive a final visual review.

Build Review

Build Review

The completed configuration is checked against the build requirements and documentation.

Protective Packaging

Protective Packaging

Engine openings and finished surfaces are protected before the engine enters its shipping container.

Shipping Preparation

Shipping Preparation

The engine is secured and prepared for pickup or delivery with the required paperwork.
